Bible Verses for Christian Motherhood

Bible Verses for Christian Motherhood

Do you have a life verse? What about a motherhood verse? I have both. My life verse is one that I have clung to since college when I first truly began to understand a personal relationship with Jesus. It is Galatians 1:10. And while there are many amazing Bible verses for Christian Motherhood, but I have chosen one that I keep closest to my heart and frequently turn to when I need direction, truth, or a reality check.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Galatians 1:10 NLT

My motherhood verse is one that I claimed for my motherhood before I was even pregnant with my first. It really is my ministry-as-a-whole verse. It is Deuteronomy 6:5-9.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates.
