About Me
Hey, y'all! I'm Joy.
You are my passion! As a mama to 5, I know the privilege and responsibility of raising, loving, and discipling kids for Christ. Through earning my Master's in Youth, Family, and Culture, 20+ years of ministry experience, becoming a certified Parent Coach, and my certificate in Parenting for Faith, I am well equipped to join the Holy Spirit as he leads your family closer to Jesus through discipleship and discipline.
Through seeking support for myself in Bible Studies, MOPS, Life Groups, friends, Parent Coaching, Connected Families, and church, I have met so many incredible mamas who needed a little support and encouragement, maybe even someone to problem-solve with them. I wanted to create a space for other mamas that are seeking support for their own faith and for growing the faith of their children. It is my joy and honor to help other mamas feel equipped and encouraged to walk alongside Christ as He woos you and your kids into a life-giving relationship with Him.

Working at the Center
I serve as Assistant Director at the Center for Faith and Children (CFC), housed at Taylor University, where our mission is reimagining church where a child's faith flourishes. I get to help churches, ministry leaders, and Christian parents like you access research and resources for nurturing children's faith. CFC exists to bridge the gap between academic research and real, everyday ministry, and it's this work that shapes so much of what I bring to Created to Play. I'm grateful to walk alongside you here, bringing both what I've learned in that world and my own heart for helping kids encounter God through play.
