Have you ever thought about working with a Christian parent coach? What has stopped you?
- Confusion
- Cost
- Calendar
- Commitment
Let’s take a look at each of these obstacles and see if you actually are ready to work with a Christian parent coach.
Confusion – What is a Christian Parent Coach?
Are you confused about what a Parent Coach is or what they do? I get it!
It seems like there are coaches out there for everything from sports to life to health to business and everything in between.
So what is a parent coach? A parent coach is someone trained to help you, encourage you, and equip you to become the parent you want to be.
As a Christian parent coach, I do it with a Biblical worldview and the help of the Holy Spirit. I love to help parents become more peaceful, purposeful, and playful/. We can explore your parenting goals for the good day and the hard days. I help you to grow in your personal discipleship with Jesus while learning practical, playful, and developmentally appropriate ways to disciple your kids.
We can brainstorm specific challenges, consider your unique needs, pray for your concerns, and individualize a plan for your particular family. Parent Coaching helps you to see where you are, dream of where you want to be, and helps you to create a plan to get there.
Cost – How Much Does a Christian Parent Coach Cost?
There is an investment needed for parent coaching. The cost will vary depending on the parent coach you choose. When we invest in parent coaching it helps us to be accountable and we typically put forth more effort for something we invest in.
When you work with me the cost covers my ongoing training and education in the field and some ministry costs, while benefiting my book project and helping me to stay home with my girls.
I do offer a military discount and payment plans, as well. Book a consult and let’s see how we can make it work.
Calendar – Am I Too Busy to Work with a Parent Coach?
Do you believe you are too busy to work with a Christian parent coach?
Guess what! I meet with clients in the evening and on weekends. We will work together for about an hour once every 2-3 weeks for 4 sessions typically.
Many of my clients put the kiddos to bed and then hop on Zoom with me. But, kids are a reality and if they make an appearance, that’s ok, too.
The tools and skills you will learn will be worth squeezing one more thing into your busy calendar.
Commitment – How Much Effort Does It Take?
Commitment, this one I can’t do much to help you with. Either you are committed or you aren’t. If you are not willing to try something new, you won’t see anything new.
All the parenting tools and techniques won’t help you if you don’t use them, right?
Christian parent coaching with me, also takes some heart and mind work. We have to be open to the Holy Spirit transforming us. It isn’t just behavior, for us or our kids. True change happens in our hearts.
